Hey, I stumbled over that problem too. That's really an issue. You could implement a keepalive message for you connected peers on top of a p2p connection, asking the otherside to ack existence and if not acked timeout the peer. It adds some overhead but it at least gives you more confidence in your peer list if you depend on it.

I haven't worked with Flex 4 in a while, so I haven't been able to go back to research the issue again to find the actual cause for the strange scroller behavior.

When I get time to, I will go back and research it more. If there are others out there that have insight, I would like to know the actual reasons for the strange layout behavior.

[...] Getting these episodes out to you has been difficult lately, so I am going to be doing a little less production work on them to get them out faster. What that means is that I will be doing less intro and getting straight to the speaker, and also not doing quite as much with the questions See more here: Kevin Schmidt – Uploading Files in Flex – Flex Camp Chicago 2009 [...]

I don't know anyone in that area right now that has the qualifications you are looking for, and the people I do know aren't currently willing to relocate. I will definitely keep you in mind in the future if I hear of anyone looking. (I hid your contact information, let me know if you want it available on the site.)

Congratulations David!

I came across your blog while searching for a Web Developer. I am wondering if you can help me in my search for a Web Developer in Memphis, Tennessee. The company is growing and hiring, which is amazing in this economy.

With your experience in web design and development, can you think of anyone who would be a strong Web Developer for our E-Commerce group. This person would develop and design new functionality, enhancements and edit existing pages for multiple web sites.

We’re looking for someone who is self-motivated, flexible and who works well in team environments.

Skills: PHP, HTML, DHTML, CSS, XML, JavaScript, AJAX as well as a fundamental understanding of the technologies involved in web development and how to implement them. Proven experience with large-scale web sites, UI design and information architecture and experience with JSP coding is desired.

Anyone you refer would be treated with respect and confidentiality. <del datetime="2009-04-27T14:29:08+00:00">My contact information is below.</del> (Edited to prevent her email from getting spammed.)
